Innovation & Quality

WHEN: May 30th PM & 31st

WHERE: NH Collection Milano President, Milan, Italy

Obtaining even the smallest increase in efficiency in turbomachinery design most often requires significant effort, but most often results in largely diminished costs. Think about reduction of material, fuel consumption, etc.  This typically implies evaluating the design not only from a component point of view but also from a system level, bringing with it various uncertainties (geometrical related to manufacturing - input and boundary conditions, etc).

NUMECA’s multiphysics simulation and optimization environment for turbomachinery,  combined with Concepts NREC preliminary design tools, offer a unique state-of-the-art integrated & comprehensive 1D to 3D solution for any turbomachinery design applications.

Speakers from Italian industries and universities, as well as NUMECA and ConceptsNREC experts will give you insights on how to reduce engineering time and come up with a better design using NUMECA's suite of CFD simulation tools, with a focus on:

  •    Preliminary tools for axial and radial machinery
  •    Turbomachinery meshers and solvers, incl. FSI and NLH
  •    Design optimization suite
  •    Uncertainty Quantification
  •    Prediction of Tonal and Broadband noise

Products that will be covered : AutoGrid5™, FINE™/Turbo, FINE™/Open, FINE™/Acoustics, FINE™/Design3D, COMPAL®, PUMPAL®, RITAL™, FANPAL™, AXIAL™, Axcent®, FINE/Agile™

DAY 1 - May 30th pm

You will be introduced to the new FINE/Agile™ product, which is the result of the partnership between Concepts NREC and NUMECA. Afterwards a best practices class on radial and axial turbomachinery design will be given.
